Description: The Centerside site is located along Westbound Interstate 66, just east of Virginia Lane interpass. Interstate 66 is a 4-lane divided controlled access highway with a Metro rail line running in the median of the highway. Polysonics conducted a 24-hour noise survey at the Centerside site to determine traffic noise impact from Interstate 66. Noise attenuation and earthen berms were proposed to mitigate traffic noise to acceptable levels to meet Fairfax County and VDOT criteria.
